for Battle Factory, I found it really useful sometimes to put a Tank, with about 1 or 2 offensive attacks, on the first of the team. lol.

EDIT: 1/8/2010:

some moves to consider when you are looking in Battle Factory:
Protect, Dive, Fly Dig, Detect

with these moves you can try to see what are some moves that your opponent have.



other moves to consider:
status infliction...

this way you can see if your opponent has Shell Bell, Leftover, Lum Berry, Persim Berry, Pecha Berry, Chesto Berry, Rawst Berry, or other healing items.



risky moves:
Counter, Mirror Coat

Counter pokemon if it has defense > ~200
Mirror Coat pokemon if it has sp defense > ~200

note that those pokemon probably don't have healing move, so it is kind of risky **

Those are quite risky because of an opponent's potential to do double damage (Thunder on a pokemon in the sky, for example). Protect is much more reliable for scouting moves.

OMG! NO WAY! its ok... I have lost my ruby game, 2 firereds, and 1 mystery dungeon red rescue team. And my sapphire is missing but not lost. I know when I will never see something again. BBcode is turned off. How do I turn it on again? Sometimes its on sometimes its off.

Hey tiger, I have a team to defeat Lucy for the silver match.You can use Taunt to prevent Lucy's Shuckle from using anything but Struggle for 2 turns. A Sableye with taunt should own it. My team for her was:

My strategy was pretty simple. {blaziken} would take out Lucy's {seviper} with EQ, {zangoose} would use Taunt on {shuckle} until it uses Struggle, SD away and alternate between Crush Claw and Thunder, and {altaria} for support. Lucy's {milotic} got taken care of by both {zangoose} and {altaria}.
And why isn't the {pokemon} thing not working?

AWESOME GUIDE. I selected a team from suggestions, but they got %@^#! on battle 100. Now I'm just gonna hack my way to a black card, and pwn my friends with that team.
