i have played pokemon sapphire for three years without seeing a shiny pokemon

Seems to me like the most common shiny found in Gen III is Golbat. O-o My friend found a shiny Swinub randomly in SS.

Well, it's not really common. I have two shiny pokemon, namely Spinda and Sandshrew. I'm actually have seen 3 shinies, Spinda, Sandshrew, and Milotic. The Milotic was on the Battle Pike.

Yeah, its possible. I've only ever seen 3 shinies; A Rayquaza whom I caught but the save file deleted itself somehow, an Exeggcute in the safari zone who fled immediately, and, once, Dahlia's Medicham in the Gen 4 Battle Frontier.

Yeah, they can't. But in the Battle Pike, there is a room that is full of wild pokemon, namely Dusclops, Seviper, and Milotic. But you can't catch them.
I've never seen a shiny Zubat/Golbat before, i wonder when will i get one.

You're wrong, there are trainers with shiny Pokemon, I've fought some in Battle Tower (shiny Espeon is the only one I can remember atm, I know I've seen more though.)

Congratulations on your shiny! I hate to say this, but shiny Zubat/Golbat/Crobat isn't so special in generation 3; I know several people, including myself that have found a shiny Zubat or Golbat in Meteor Falls. Back in 2003 I found my first shiny, Zubat in Ruby.

Adding onto that, I recently found a shiny Gulpin in Emerald Version and caught her in a regular Pokeball (no masterballs on hand, I only had 2 badges!) When FireRed first came out, I found a shiny Snorlax east of Vermilion City. I remember waking him up, looking away from the screen, looking back, and thinking "isn't Snorlax supposed to be green? why is this one aqua blue?" After catching him, I realized he was shiny. :)

Generation 3 was a very good generation for shiny Pokemon, I found a total of 3 all in different games, all before collecting all of the badges and finishing the game.

I've seen the Espeon as well. I think it and a Seaking are both programmed in as shiny, though. But I think it's possible for other trainers to have shinies, right? i think i saw a shiny when i was ten, but i probably thought my game messed up and knocked it out *shrug*. my only (non-chained, legit) shiny is a Floatzel lol.

I remember that Espeon, but not a Seaking. I think Gen 4 battle frontier trainers can have shinies at the same probability as wild pokemon

I have shiny swablu and altaria, and a shiny rhyhorn.

even though i have seen a shiny zubat (crystal), electrike (sapphire), a skarmory and spinda too actually. But they i either forgot to catch or did not have enough poke balls :/

The Zubat family seems to be quite lucky with this.

My first and one of two legitimately encountered Shinies was a Zubat in HG.

I guess I could say that I'm quite unlucky because I never ever have seen a shiny pokemon in my games before (besides the shiny Gyarados in Gold/Sliver/Crystal that doesn't count because it was waiting for me) so I'm saying that I probably will never see a shiny pokemon in my life. T_T

Bumping a 2-month unactive thread isn't always very good. Anyway, if I haven't mentioned it, I've found shiny Lunatone and a Shiny Tentacool. No pokeballs for Tentacool.

I remember seeing a shiny haunter in emerald. It was really cool! Although I think it is gone now, I dont know why I dont have it.

I only have a munchlax that took me a month to breed! But now its a shiny Snorlax! I love it and ive had it for a long time and that wont change <3 <3

I've found a shiny Hariyama in Victory Road when my brother was playing around with the game. Luckily he told me what he saw and i manage to capture it. The next shiny i own is a shiny Numel which i evolved it into a shiny camelrupt. It is black in colour so it reminds me as if it is some sort of dark camelrupt. But unfortunately, my Emerald's save file got deleted 2 years ago and I never got the two of them ever again. =(

Also found a shiny rattata and another zubat, but no pokeballs to capture them...
