So my friend gave me the idea of beating the game with only 3 pokemon, and my response was that I already had... but then he questioned if I had beaten the game with ONLY 3 Pokemon, with no hm slaves, no side pokemon, or anything, which I haven't, so I am challenging all who notice this... beat the game (pearl.diamond/platinum) with only three pokemon, with this twist:

Only 3 pokemon hay be used for battles
-no using other pokemon as shields as you potion up your 3

Your 3 pokemon must have all the hm's between the 3 of them asap (as you get them)

The pokemon you use can only use tool moves... (unless you are in the process of obtaining them)
here's the list:
Required: cut, fly, surf, strength, rock climb, rock smash, defog, waterfall, flash (all 9 of these)
"Electives": False swipe, Thief, Dig, Teleport, Payday, Sleep powder/Spore/hypnosis/Sing/Yawn/etc (pick 3 of these)
*the weather moves don't count*

you may use pokemon eggs sent over from other games, but the game used must be the original trainer


so with that, here is my planned team:

: Surf, rock smash, cut, strength (pick up as a bonus)
: Fly, Defog, false swipe, thief
: waterfall, flash, dig, rock climb

the golduck can be caught in game (ill use platinum) and the other two i will breed 2 eggs for and send them from my pearl

Just a question, why are these listed as electives, and then you say pick 3 of these? Can you choose to pick three, or are you saying we HAVE to? If so, they aren't really elective.

If he is saying that they are "electives", then you may "elect" to use any combination of three from that list >.>

I have never done that and never will but I usually use three Main pokes then the 3 others are used for HMs and just so I can have t6 polkes Good luck is right.
