Well I have Kyogre, Forretress, Blissey, Mewtwo, Latios and Salamence. But it'll take you a while to get there.

I would strongly argue that there is no such thing as the "best" team, in any pokemon game. There will always be good teams and bad teams, but every team has weaknesses, too. So, if Team A is objectively better than Team B, but Team B is objectively better than Team C, and Team C is objectively better than Team A, which is the "best"? It doesn't work in a game like Pokemon.

well, early game I liked Taillow, and I always kept Zigzagoon for pickup. in R/S you could get rare candies at any level, all the games after that what you picked up depended on the level of your zigzagoon  but yeah, there's no "best" team.
