http://www.geocities.com simple free host. They even have a page builder since you're just starting out. I'd suggest learning some HTML, though, so you don't have to use those pagebuilder things. I despise them. HTML's not that hard to learn anyway..

Google. You can either look for an actual guide or just look for a website, then view source. It's amazing what you can learn just by looking at working code..

There isn't many easy hosts except for places like Geocities. But when you sign up there you may not learn as much as you would from starting from scratch.

I use Microsoft Word, which isn't as customizable as HTML or XHTML. It's good, but not great. However the good thing is is with my host, you can also see and EDIT it in it's HTML form, so you just take a peek and as Jigglypuff said, it's not that complicated.

It also depends on what your site is about too. Video Games? Movies? Get me some details and I can further help you out. 8)

I have bought my own domain now, but I started off on the free sites with site builders for free. I would recommend getting your own domain, at least the name, if you want many people to visit your site. It is hard work and you need patience.
