War of the Best!-Rise of the Champions! ALL GLORY TO STEVEN!

Welcome to the great battle between the champions! Here, you and only you have the power to determine who is gonna be the champion of champions. The rules are pretty simple:
1.Each round will end two weeks after the 1st vote has been cast. If no votes are cast for two weeks, then I'm shutting the topic down. 2.On each round, you vote for your favorite champion and you give a reason for your choice. 3.You are only allowed to vote 2 times per round, and you aren't allowed to cast the same vote twice in a round. 4.There will be 3 rounds:Rd.1 has all 8 champions. 4 of them will make it to Rd.2. And from there the two most popular will advance to the final round, where the winner will be determined. 5.No spamming from nobody. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. So, without any further ado, let us meet our contestants! Quote: First one, Blue! One of the two Kanto champions. grandson of Professor Oak. His rivalry with Red extends as far as any trainer can remember. Following, Red! The second Kanto champion. The mysterious, never-talking guy. His rivalry with Blue dates to the first days of trainerdom. Next, Lance! The champion of Johto. The famous dragon tamer and older brother of Gym Leader Clair. Show yourself, Steven! The rock maniac from Mossdeep and the first Hoenn champion. His team is the hardest imaginable. Lights on Wallace! Hoenn's second champion. This water-type user is Gym Leader Juan's student and every bit as elegant as his teacher. Make way for Cynthia! The Sinnoh champion. The beautiful archaelogist is the first woman to be crowned a champion. Feel Alder's spirit! The first champion of Unova. He might be the oldest among champions, but no one can question his inexhaustible fighting spirit. Last but not least, Iris! The youngest among the champions, she is Alder's successor. Despite her age she is a masterful dragon-type user. Rd.1-Results wrote: 1. Steven: 5 2. Red: 2 3. Cynthia: 2 4. Blue: 1 (Sudden Death 3) 5. Lance: 1 (Sudden Death 1) 6. Two per round, you said? In that case, Steven gets my first vote and Lance gets my second one.
EDIT: forgot reasons. STEVEN-- Champion of my first and favorite Pokemon game, and the Champion I think has the most well-rounded team. Minus Cradilly. LANCE-- First champion of the first region, and the first dragon-type trainer. Except for Aerodactyl and Gyarados. But still. Also made good use of Hyper Beam. Well, since the first vote has been cast, I'll add my own.
Cynthia: She is smart, she is beautiful (man, her sprite is a work of art!), she has a Lucario and a Garchomp. Enough. Steven: The hardest NPC ever. He has an awesome team and I like his collected attitude. Oh, and he gives you a Beldum in Emerald. _________________ |

Wallace - The first champion that I defeated. His team was good and provided a good challenge.

UPDATE: First of all, a thanks to those who posted here. Your interest motivates me. Now, about the game: In case of a draw, the ones who are tied will proceed in Sudden Death. Sudden Death allows one vote per person and will end in 3 days since the first vote is cast. The winner or winners of Sudden Death will advance to the next round. Thank you once again. I vote for Steven and Red
Edit: Sorry, I don't know what I was thinking... I vote for Steven because he was one of the hardest champions ever and I have so many fond memories of beating him with different teams, highlights being stalling out into struggle his Metagross by repeatedly using hyper potions on my Hariyama and discovering that Blaziken could absolutely destroy Metagross. I vote for Red because he was one of the first trainers with really high leveled pokemon and I really liked what the game developers did with his team. I'll vote for Blue, because he's the coolest of the three (in HG/SS, at least). He's also got a pretty neat team, too.

I vote for Blue. He is the represantation of Gary, who I really like. And he gave me a great battle in HG.

I'll vote Lance for previous reasons, but that won't do much good, I think.

Lance is the last one to withdraw. The crowd cheers. Congratulations, guys! Better luck next time! The final results for Rd.1 will also be edited in the 1st post. The participants for Rd.2: Quote: Steven, Champion of Hoenn Red, Champion of Kanto Cynthia, Champion of Sinnoh Blue, Champion of Kanto Four have advanced to Rd.2. Rd.2 will last for 2 weeks. Draw leads to Sudden Death. In this round, votes will be cast in the usual Psypoke manner: You vote for the one you like the most and the one you like the least. Score will be calculated from both factors. And of course, you must give reasons (preferably different than the ones given in Rd.1, but if you're not creative enough, go ahead)! An example for a vote(for those who don't know,): Quote: Best: Lance, because he has a nice cape. Worst: Iris, because she can't pick clothes. Score: Lance +1/-0 Iris +0/-1 Clear enough? Good! Best: Cynthia - I've considered many reasons to put here, but at last I settled on this: her encounter and battle themes are both amazing. Really suits that "cool mysterious lady" feel.
Worst: Blue - Compared to others, he's just... meh. Also... "Smell ya later" isn't that great of a catchphrase. |

Worst: Cynthia - I simply like Blue more because it was really hard to get by on only one pokemon, and I like Red more because he I enjoyed what they did with his team. Might as well take a vote... Even though I've never even had the pleasure of beating any of them.
 Best: Cynthia... She has great pokemon with only one bad egg out of the bunch *cough gastrodon cough*. I like her more than the others for some reason. Her most powerful pokemon is garchomp which Is one of my favourite pokemon. I shouldn't really bother with this but anyway... Worst: Steven: In my opinion, I might as well battle a gym leader he doesn't really have all that much balanced pokemon with only three types. I like spread out battles, not stuck to three types. I'm still yet to beat him but I'm sick of only getting up there to battle some rock, steel, ground pokemon. It's just to limited.
