Oh yes, I need to find some Shiny Mega-Absol Fan art! That would be awesome! You know, I think I'll transport my shiny Gardevior to my X/Y just to see it as a Mega! Assuming Gardevoir get Mega-ed, that is.

Ah! You are a true Gardevoir fan! You found the Mystical Blue Queen!
I should hope that we get to see a Mega-Gardevoir sometime in the next month! She has a large enough fan base! (…perverted that a portion of it may be…) I mean, Mawile became a fairy as well, so the type change shouldn't rule her out…hopefully…
Although…I'm worried about what they mean, exactly, like with the event Torchic, that certain requirements need to be fulfilled for a pokemon to be capable of Megalution. What if we can't evolve our Gardevoirs?

The starters must fulfill them somehow, and I can't imagine how Mewtwo would make the cut... I mean, all of the pokemon they choose for this, were either in some slight need of an evolution, or really super popular. So I hope Gardevoir make the latter requirement.

I have a feeling they chose the mega's based on two or three factors: Factor one: Those that people have been complaining for an evolution, but GameFreak felt that they really didnt need a "permanent" power up. Factor two: Popularity. Pretty much self explanatory. Factor three: Random/ brain storm sessions. Who knows maybe they just together on day and started doodling. Someone could have said, "This is how we should have designed ________" and they liked it so much they decided to make Mega-evo's. Also I have a Theory on how Mega-Evolutions are obtained/backstory. You know how in the " Adventures in Unova series.... SPOILER WARNING: Highlight to view spoiler.
Colress made that that Machine to control Pokemon and make them function at there "peek" lvl. Yet Pickachu was able to shake it off because of his bond with Ash?MAYBE, Mega Evolutions are obtained through the bond between Trainer and Pokemon, and the "Mega Stone" and "Mega-Evolution" is how this bond is shown Physically, and how Said Pokemon reach there maximum potential? And that tower from waaaay back that was said to be where we get the "mega-stones", Were probably gonna have to go through some trial with just that pokemon (at X lvl/ fully evolved and Happiness value MAXed). Cause you know, not just ANY trainer can have his/her Pokemon Mega Evolve. Also Team Flare could like...Idont know,be selling Fake "mega Evo" stones, since they are more in it for the Money then some craaaaazy scheme. Kinda make sense when ya think about it.......

I'm sure they will, I mean, she is one of the best of Hoenn, and they've already shown that they are giving her some attention. If Fairy type does as rumored, and hurts Darks while resisting Fighting, well, that might just give her the boost she needs to finally make it into the higher levels of the Metagame, although if her Mega doesn't get faster, she'll probably be stuck with a scarf… I just hope that when they do reveal her, they don't ruin her appearance like they did with Mewtwo… although, I do have to say that Mega-Mewtwo is starting to grow on me… ... Sparkle. That's a nice name =) I wish I had thought to name mine before I reset her home game, I think I would have gone with Luna. To be honest, though…I haven't trained her yet…I somehow managed to chain her on Platinum on my twentieth birthday, then put her away because I wanted her to feature on a team, rather than to simply have her be trained but have no history. I had wanted to do it with White, and I should have done it with White 2. But now I am definitely going to train her in Kalos! Even if I have to blow through the game to do so first! I Swear it Luna! Please forgive me! I'm not worthy to have Gardevoir as my favorite, if I can abandon the Blue Queen for so long… Moving on... GofD wrote: Also Team Flare could like...Idont know,be selling Fake "mega Evo" stones, since they are more in it for the Money then some craaaaazy scheme. I do wish that Pokemon didn't fall into the whole "Big Evil Corporation" political mess, though, especially considering that Pokemon itself is a multi billion dollar franchise second only to Mario on Nintendo's list… I thought that I'd heard somewhere that we were given Mewtwo so that he could be used as the tutorial for Mega Evolution, which is something that I actually very much hope is not true. There would be no greater way to diminish Mewtwo than to receive him with less trouble than the Red Gyarados.

<3 Thanks. Gotta love Mega Absol, 'specially shiny!
I encountered Sparkle in a random stroke of pure, divine, luck. I was looking for another Ralts to add to my collection, a girl. Next one I found was Shiny. Yay for the luck of the universe!

Yeah, I hope the Fairy-type thing will boost her up a notch. I didn't realize they didn't have good speed though. Mine are fairly quick, faster than my Gallades at any rate...
Mega Mewtwo still = Barney's son.

Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard, Mega Blastoise as new Mega Evolutions to the set, the look so awesome, but for some reason I don't seem to like Mega Blastoise a lot. I like the idea tho of changing its cannons in its mega evolution but not so original either, now Mega Venusaur and Mega Charizard looks more epic. About another Mega Evolution I saw Mega Kangaskhan. . . Plz her baby comes out and thats all and its ability is Parental Bond, I don't even know what to think of that... Mega Absol so freaking cool, Mega Ampharos I like the idea but too fabulous, Mega Mawile I like it, but Mega Blaziken and Mega Lucario. . . There are 649 pokemon in total and they had to picked them up plz

Incoming news from what the citizens here at Psypoke affectionately dub as Hell!
Two new Mega-Evolutions have been released!
They are Garchomp, who is still Ground and Dragon, and he has the ability Sandforce. And the second Mega-Evolution, you might wonder?
…
Wait for it…
…
That's right! It is: Highlight to view spoiler.
Mega-Mewtwo X!
He is now Fighting and Psychic, and has the ability Steadfast. And apparently, is version exclusive! =)
…Ugh.
Oh, and Mega-Garchomp has a cleft. Seriously.
By the way, for all of the Blaziken haters out there, apparently the reason Blaziken has been shown such love recently (the early form reveal, the Torchic distribution...) is because Mega-Blaziken might just have something to do with the anime.
…I've just decided. I think I'm getting Y. I was on the wall before.

OK, I never thought I'd say this, but Mega Garchomp sucks. Big time. I'm really annoyed with the damage they did to one of my favorite Pokemon... And Mega Mewtwo X isn't exactly great either... worse than its Y counterpart and of course worse than the original.

If you think the X-Mewtwo is worse than the Y-Mewtwo, I have to question your sense of taste. Though I do agree the new Garchomp form is terribad.

I mean, I'd rather see Mewtwo receive a plot point as his original form, but he's already fallen into the Multi-Form trap, so we might as well adapt. It's like the Adult Buu becoming Kid Buu, honestly, and Kid Buu was Bad Ass. The fighting forme, though…not so used to it yet. I wonder if the Mewtwonite X and Y are transferable… Yoyathsu wrote: Mega Garchomp seriously? That is like a fusion in between Garchomp and Kabutops. . . Not really, the original Garchomp has those scythes already, they're just smaller and there is a claw on the end of the arm. Now the blade has just absorbed the claw and grown a red trim. I'm more perturbed by the shape of the head, honestly.

Mega Garchomp does look silly, but the presumably ludicrous Outrages will be well worth having to look at it on a regular basis.

Why would you use Outrage on a Sand Force Garchomp when you have Earthquake?

I was under the mistaken idea that Sand Force boosted attack overall under sandstorm, rather than selective types. My mistake *'.'*… Earthquake would be better. Why use Outrage on a Sand Force Garchomp? Because a Pokemon can know more than one move at a time and type coverage is important.

Mega-Garchomp- I like it. Looks even more ferocious then before. Im perfectly fine with it.
Mega- Mewtwo fail #2- Looks a LITTLE better than the first, but still not a fan.
All in all, Im pretty happy with most of the Mega's shown so far. Still interested in seeing who else gets one.

Sincerely little by little I'm starting to like them too with the exception of the Mega Mewtwo and Mega Kangaskhan and Garchomp looks scary but that is good to people who likes dark scary stuffs Hahaha

Nintendoe, where are the Luxray and Gardevoir Megas? You messed up Mewtwo really bad, my bro isn't happy. Mega-Garchomp looks ok, I don't really use Garchomp. I wonder if Cynthia will Mega her Garchomp, and you'll have to battle her... That might be difficult. Mewtwo. X. And. Y. What is he, Deoxys? He only needs his original forms. Gamefreak shoulda kept him the way he was destinied to be, cool forever...

Mewtwo was fine by himself. Frankly, I always loved Deoxys anyways, they should have just put him in the game maybe... bleh. Overall, the mega-evolutions are hit and miss for me. Absol is awesome, a bunch are ok, and the Mewtwo ones irritate me to no end. P.S. Deoxys is waaaay cooler than Mewtwo ever was /maniacal laugh
