Even HW isn't capable of making a game where marks come out of nowhere... probably. So I'll agree with DNA here.
So far, the scum haven't really shown themselves, except in that rather dumb and lucky Mektar kill (assuming it was scum). Then again, no one has really shown themselves. So, since I hate no lynch situations...

Is it possible to trade or donate items to people?
You could hand the item off to DNA and get the item out of the game unless it has some sort of benefit to it.

It has no benefit. It just makes the holder unable to vote. Does anyone other than the late Mektar have an item destroying ability? I understand if no one comes forward and says that they do in fear of being targeted, but it seems disadvantageous to keep passing it around and forcing random innocents to hold their votes.
