Well, this is a weird topic, hard to explain and harder to reply to, but I'd like you to try.

What I mean is - what mental images or ideas do you get when you read certain Psypokian's names?

For example, when I see Amphy's name I instantly see his name in bold purple, like in the board down the bottom of the screen. I see an Ampharos, and I get a mental idea of someone who's kind, patient, but a really high authority, you don't want to mess with him. I sort of see it all with a slight yellowish tinge, if that makes sense. He's way above me, and yet he's still familiar, will still talk to me

RaichuLatias makes me think of the blue Latias he had as his avator a while ago. He's got authority, but in a different way to Amphy. He's instantly tied in with Fan Art, but he's a fun guy, happy to help. Although he's laid back, he takes his responsibilities seriously. Sort of that Dodger Blue color. He's above me, but it doesn't feel like much

sNOwBaLL is mostly authority. He's a Blissey, and yet he's determined. He won't hesitate to lock any topic or tell people off, but if your in his good books he's great fun. You don't mess with him, you do as he says. He seems less familiar to me than the others, probably because I've never actually spoken to him. He's sort of a pale pink, or pastel colors. He's above me, and I don't think I'd dare to approach him

I'll give one more example then I'll see what others think

Undeadcutlet is decidedly purple. He's a Haunter, but he's not dark and gloomy. I see the signature I made for him, and I think of all the RPs I'm in with him. He's cool, and he's closer to me than other Psypokians. He's on my level, and I like that

Do you guys understand what i mean? Try and describe the mental image and ideas you get at certain Psypokians names

I'm going to do this also, except over a period of time. I'll try to edit in the Psypokian's I know right off the bat.

Kayane - When I think of Kayane I think of an airplane dropping thousands of tubs of silver and gold glitter. On it's way down it's beautiful, and gentle. The spitten' image of Kayane.

Amphy - Amphy is full of fun. He has a authority, people naturally follow him, not because of his Elite Four rank, but because he's a natural leader. He willing to do a lot to please his members and follow "colleagues". Amphy is like an Ampharos. Cute and playful otherwise, but fierce in battle.

TheCyberMew -I really enjoy discussing with TCM. He seems like a good person, he has a good sense of humor, and has this weird Moderator ability. He seems to know exactly how far to push someone, he knows what to post, at what member, an how he does it. But, enough about the Moderator side. TCM has a user side too, he just doesn't show it all the time. If you can catch him at the right time, it's awesome to talk to him. He seems like a really great person, definitely Frontier Brain material. Good job Admins!

RaichuLatias -In all honesty, I think RL and I are very similar. We have similar attitudes, except his posts are 10x friendlier than mine.


Well, our taste in friends are the same, and he also stated, because he has just a few really good friends, he's always on Psypoke. Well that's the same with me. I can really connect with RL, but I don't have many conversations with him. I'm sure we would become good friends though.

You don't dare to approach me, CF? Haha I had no idea I'm that intimidating. I don't mean to be that authoritative. Anyway I do admit that I was more fun to talk to in the past, especially when the older Psypoke existed (the third site, or somewhere there).

I'll probably do this in bits, and edit in more later, I guess.

Amphy reminds me of an Ampharos, like, duh. Nice and fun to talk to, but annoy him and he'll Thunderbolt you. He's a good leader, one that makes decisions very carefully and after considering the advantages to those under him. I enjoy his sarcasm, because maybe I like to be sarcastic myself -_-"

papersun
Been on good terms with him ever since the old Psypoke, where he, Kasiya, Nido and I had lots of fun with the Rating Center and the rivalry with WorldOrder. He's a really fun person and is enjoyable to talk to, but he does know when to be serious, and is not afraid to stamp his authority when needed. Reminds me of Steven in the Elite Four, somehow. My favourite Psypokian, probably

I picture an adorable little boy with oversized spectacles, reading a book. Of course, he's neither a little boy, nor does he have oversized specs (I hope), but that is what comes to my mind because I think TK is rather knowledgeable, not just in Pokemon, but in site making, and many other aspects as well. He's also a fun person like Amphy, and he's one of the more friendly people around.

Nido
If I'm not wrong, he's a year younger than me, lol. Reminds me of Yoda, because he's sensible and kinda wise, but can also make me smile or even laugh (somehow I used to laugh when Yoda appears on the screen). I do respect him a lot, and I've known him for some time, since the old psypoke. In fact, I knew him a while before papersun.

Well, she reminds me of a friend of mine in real life, who is good-looking and quite artistic. Probably because of the art she has done so far. She's really active, and enlivens up the environment.

RaichuLatias
Easy to get along with, and good tempered guy. Reminds me of a kid staying by the countryside; simple and easy-going.

Okay, time to write one paragraph for TCM in exchange for one. He's sarcastic all the time, but thankfully I appreciate sarcasm, so I can stand him. Great sense of humour as well, so he's fun to chat with. However, avoid him if you can't stand sarcasm and lame humour

EDIT: I just noticed something I do. Before, I was online and I saw sNOwBaLL online, and the minute I saw he had posted in a forum I had posted in I thought "Uh oh, I'm in trouble." Then again just then I was in Activities and Competitions and RaichuLatias was in there, and I was full like "Ack! Run away!"

For SF I get a mental image of his avator, as happens with a lot of people. Although he changed his name, he's still ShadowFlygon to me. I get a feeling of a strict, strong Leader, not quite the same feeling as a Mod but with authority in his own regard. Not as much above me as others, but still to be avoided from a slight nervousness. He rules Team Midnight with an iron fist. He used to be the ultimate artist to me, but he's changed and now is more of an organizer. Dark purple

Amphy - A great, natural and friendly leader.

darkmind - One of the best Elites of psypoke, very skilled in graphics.

Frost - A great leader with a great taste in music, he doesn't follow trends, he starts them, and usually goes out of the ordinary.

Tonberry King - Another great Elite, and ver skilled in HTML. He's almost uuber!

Raichu Latias - A great, friendly mod, very skilled with avatars.

Magus - One of three of the best graphic artists at psypoke, and a great and organized leader.

Skull Kid - A great mod, and an uuber artist, I almost always go to him first when I need a graphics job done well.

Confused Flareon - Another one of the awesome artists, her graphics are unique, and awesome. She's also the founder of the game I pwn at.

Truestar - Also a natural leader, very sophisticated and fairly good at HTML. But a still a whole lot better then me at it.

Lol, he is, he is..

Its kinda funny. Some people treat all Mods exactly the same, but some (like me) see them all differently and act accordingly. I feel I can be more free with RaichuLatias and Myuutusu, but I watch carefully what I say in any of sNOwBaLL's forums. Star, Skull Kid, Sneaky_Sneasel and Galar are familiar to me, but I don't really converse with them all that much so they don't worry me. Then there's the rest of the Mod Team that I respect, but they don't really stand out as much

Being a #psypoke regular, a lot of moderators come in (except Myuutsuu and papersun, maybe JBs-Pikachu, but she isn't here atm) and talk. Amphy is also in quite often, and TK hasn't been on in quite a bit. DM is on occasionally, and Frost is on sometimes.
I'm on pretty good terms with them all (except Frost). Amphy is cool, but will show his power without hesitation(and make stupid trainer cards with Tucker on them ). TK is a coding wiz (well PHP mainly) and works on the site a bit.
Frost is upfront, and says things how he means them. He also has an alias for every day of the year.
Mr. Saturn... haven't talked to him much, but me, EtS, and him has a big hypothetical discussion on battling, and the effects the XD moves would have on NB and general 386 play balance.
EtS, seen a lot of him, pretty funny, NBs a lot, and knows a lot about battling. He also 6-0'd me (damn you FS!).
I'm not going to describe all the mods, as that'd take the whole page.

TCM: Seems OK, can be funny sometimes (ZOMG RICH YOU WON $5 ON SCRATCHCARD) and tbh there sin't much else that can be said.

You don't have to describe all the Mods, just explain that split second mental reaction you get to certain people's names

Here's one I haven't done yet - Seraphim Riku

He used to be ~~Riku~~, and somehow he'll always be that to me. He used to be the Elite Spritist, someone I wouldn't dare talk to, just like someone you pass in the street, someone you admire but don't really know. Nowadays he's a good friend of mine. when I see his name I see Roselia, the Roselia sig I made for him so long ago. I remember my Fanfic, which he has been lyally reading. And even more recently I remember a PM conversation we had. Riku is green, through and through, higher than me but comfortably on my level at the same time. He's one of my best friends here at Psypoke

Ah it's okay, I guess people think that because I have Latias in my name,

I still remember the time DKM confused me with JBs, I guess JBs had a similar problem to that, people always thought she was a guy.

I think it's kind of strange the I and JBs had the same problem and also that our names are similar (Pikachu - Raichu).



There really hasn't been anyone in my "bad" books (Other than a couple of former members who posted Adult Content on here and got Banned.)

Like Nido said in the other topic, We are just here to make the forums better, not out to get you or anyone else.

Before I became a mod, I was alot like you, I was worried I'd get banned for doing something stupid (Let's just say, I had a bad reputation on a previous forum),

The worrying didn't really help, I still made minor mistakes, etc.
But I did learn some things about the mods and admins, they're just regular people running a forum for Pokemon Fans and just want it to be fun for everyone.

Hehe, I remember that. I tried to find that topic, but no luck. Oh well, the memories will stay....lol
