You don't have to have an attack of every type on your team. You just need to have good type coverage, in otherwords, enough moves that deal with most, if not all other types. For example: Steel is SE against rocks, but Earthquake is SE against rocks too, and it takes down 4 other types, whereas steel only downs 2 types, so it's not necessary to have a steel move.
About the only thing a grass move will do that other move types don't already do is take out Swampert, seeing how that's its only weakness. Of course, you don't need a grass move at all to bring down Swampert.
None of your pokemon are legendary...what are you talking about?

Actual stats.

so i would have to give all my pokemon speed lowering natures, low speed ivs, and no speed evs to abuse trick room? If so forget it, my other team had better structure anyway

You could still use a pokemon that can function even outside of Trick Room. Otherwise when your TR set-upers are gone, your rest team is too.

Trick Room is an easier way to go first.
Rather than run a Scarf and +Speed set, it leaves almost nothing for offensive.
Btw can someone rate my team, it seemed the rating centre was functioning properly for a few days.

Sorry for skipping your team.
Prof. Dom wrote: So now I have a Darkrai I decided to use it. Here's my Uber Team.
Lol, looks like you're missing a 6th pokemon.
 @ Leftovers
Timid / Bad Dreams
252 SpAtk / 252 Spd / 6 SpDef
Dark Pulse
Spacial Rend
Calm Mind
Dark Void
Strategy: Use Dark Void, when they switch stick in a Calm Mind and hit them where it hurts.
Looks solid. I use the same Darkrai, except he's modest.
 @ Leftovers
Bold / Pressure
252 SpAtk / 56 Def / 200 SpDef
Flash Cannon
Toxic
Protect
Taunt
Strategy: Primary Taunter, also a Pressure Wall and a Toxic Stall. Toxic, Protect, Taunt, Protect, Flash Cannon.
Hm, the 252 SpA EVs should go into HP. His main purpose is to stall and toxic, so defense and survival is paramount. That's an interesting moveset. Looks decent, but change Flash Cannon for something else, like Dragon Pulse, Earth Power, or Draco Meteor (well, maybe not Draco Meteor). Flash Cannon just doesn't have good type coverage. That, and Dragon Pulse outdamages it, iirc. Or you could use Thunder, since you have Kyogre. I think he should have a way to heal, like sleep talk and rest. I like the idea of stalling like mad and taunting though. Just try both and see which one you like better.
 @ Life Orb
Modest / Drizzle
252 SpAtk / 252 Spd / 6 HP
Thunder
Ice Beam
Surf
Calm Mind / Thunder Wave
Strategy: I'm undecided which way to set-up, after that sweep accordingly.
Looks standard, if you want to use Calm Mind. You could even make it a Scarfer, with Water Spout instead of Calm Mind. It makes a great lead, since it starts rain, and you can start out with a bang. On a Calm Mind sweeper, Timid is generally better, with the extra speed and all. Modest is okay too. On a Scarfer, Modest is perfectly fine, cuz you're getting the speed boost from Choice Scarf.
 @ Leftovers
Timid / Pressure
252 SpAtk / 216 Spd / 42 HP
Calm Mind
Will-O-Wisp
Energy Ball
Aura Sphere
Strategy: Calm Mind, W-o-W, then sweep.
Shadow Ball or Ice Beam over Energy Ball, because you won't be hitting many things for SE damage in ubers with grass. Instead of W-o-W, give it either Taunt or Sub.
 @ Life Orb
Adamant / Air Lock
252 Atk / 216 Spd / 32 Hp / 8 SpDef
Dragon Dance
Outrage
Extremespeed
Earthquake
Strategy: Dragon Dance, Outrage, Win.
Standard. Not much to say. His ability hinders Kyogre's team support, so take that into consideration.
Tell me what you think and if I should swap any.
I have Sapphire, Emerald, LeafGreen & Diamond, just to let you know what I could get.
Your sixth Pokemon could be Manaphy or Palkia (watch out, cuz you'll have 3 dragons). Giratina or Lugia are great walls, if you want them. Sorry, I'm not too experienced with Ubers.
conman2k8 wrote: Hey Raters. I'm soon getting a Darkrai, with Roar of time, and Spacial Rend, could you rate my proposed set?
 @ ???
Nature: ???
EVs: 252 Sp. ATK, 252 SPD, 6HP
Bad Dreams
-Dark Pulse
-Dark Void
-Nightmare
-Spacial Rend
Nightmare = bad, cuz you have to waste a turn just for basically a second Bad Dreams effect. Give it Calm Mind, a support move (taunt, etc.), or at least some other attacking move.
Please note that I intend to swap this for my Sub-punching (I know that was a bad idea now) Mewtwo, which has the following:
 @ Leftovers
Nature Brave
Evs I messed up big time on, so I don't know
-Shadow Ball
-Substitute
-Focus Punch
-Aura Sphere (I did have Recover)
Could you suggest what I can change Mewtwo's attacks to? And am I right to swap Darkrai in?
Remind me later to rate the Mewtwo; I have to go now.

After an agility it passes to
Articuno@Leftovers
Nature?
EVs 252hp/129def/129spe
Mind Reader
Shear Cold
Roost
Ice Beam
Who proceeds to destroy everything
p.s. I really need substitute, roost, and grass knot tms to finish sandstorm team!!!

Updated 3 of the pokes on my team. The Arcanine didn't work as well as I hoped.. And I stupidly lost my Dragon Pulse TM...
This will likely be my last edit to my team until platinum comes out in english, school, work, Disgaea3/DS etc.. are all coming up soon. XD
Sashimi
Kingdra
Modest @ Haban berry. Swift swim
140 HP, 252 S.ATK, 116 SPEED
-Ice Beam
-Dragon Pulse
-Surf
-Rain dance
Lead. Throw Rain dance up and beat down other leads, namely Bronzong, Sandstreamers and dragons. The berry allows him to live through at least 1 dragon attack where he can counter w/ Ice beam or Pulse(if they might be holding a yache berry) and KO them. Kind of a special-using mock yache-chomp.
The Chef
Alakazam
Timid @ Life Orb. Inner focus
252 S.ATK, 220 SPEED, 38 HP
-Psychic
-Shadow ball
-Focus Blast
-Substitute
To me this Alakazam doesn't have HP, it has a countdown meter . Use sub if the opponent is likely to switch out or to scout. Sub also blocks sucker punch users that totally counter her. Since sub walls status I took inner focus to prevent fake out flinch. Works best in 3 vs. 3 but even on 6 vs. 6 with weather and rocks/spikes in play she can mid-late sweep up quite well.
Yogurt
Miltank
Serious (Chosen due to near flawless IV's) @ Thick Fat. Leftovers
252 HP, 204 S.DEF, 52 ATK,
-Earthquake
-T-wave
-Rock Slide
-Heal Bell/Milk Drink
Mil-Tank/Para Flinch abuser. Being normal type allows me to Switch into Ghost attacks used on my Alakazam and Mismagius. Thick fat also allows him to switch in to fire/Ice safely. Lacks STAB but ground/rock holds good coverage as well as my answer to electrics. I usually play milk drink in 3 vs. 3 and heal bell in 6 vs. 6 and doubles.
Thanks again ^^

Jolly| Sand Veil
252 Attack, 252 Speed
~ Swords Dance

~ Earthquake
~ Fire Fang
Physical Sweeper
Bronzong@ Leftovers

252 Hp, 129 Def, 129 Sp.def

Yeah but swampert is bulky it has both high defence ang special defence and it has high attack too so it could be a prob if i have no grass type move. One more thing is that if i don't have a grass type move my team will be destroyed by a sanstrom team. I was thinking of letting my charizard learn solarbeam and sunny day and take out dragon pulse and air slash and replace gengar with a lucario that knows psychic, is it a good idea??

Seeing that UU is full of purple pokes, I want to make a UU team that only consists of purple Pokemon, while still being somewhat competitive, I've also been using this team in the standard OU metagame.
AGILE ANTI-LEAD
jolly; focus slash
6 HP; 252 Atk; 252 Spe
- stealth rock
- taunt
- earthquake
- rock slide
Taung stops opponent's set up, especially BP teams, trick room, and substitute abusers. It's got insane speed so with focus slash I usually get 2 hits on weavile/gengar/azelf etc. to score a kill if they don't switch, stealth rock also comes in handy.
SPECIAL SPONGE
brage; black sludge
252 HP; 252 SpD; 6 Atk
- rest
- sleep talk
- shadow sneak
- brick break
PHYSICAL WALL
impish; black sludge
252 HP; 252 Def; 6 Atk
- rest
- whirlwind
- crunch
- earthquake
SPECIAL SWEEPER
timid; dampen; lefties
252 SpA; 252 Spe; 6 HP
- calm mind
- hypnosis
- ice beam
- surf
PHYSICAL SWEEPER
jolly; wide lens
252 Atk; 252 Spe; 6 Def
- swords dance
- cross chop
- stone edge
- x-scissor
SUPPORTER
calm; lefties
80 HP; 178 Spe; 252 SpD
- hypnosis
- will-o-wisp
- thunderbolt
- shadow ball
P.S. Since most raters are busy, why is the rater application feature currently closed down?

Dunno. But its been down for a months already. Bushin, and Volke are the newly appointed "Official-Raters" by Registeel_Rocks since most of the time this thread is swamped with RMTs.

No, but it makes it harder for us to rate it properly, since the moves and strategies we give won't be as effective, for example, a Weavile which isn't properly EV trained may or may not be fast enough to outspeed certain things. That, and generally teams that aren't EV trained don't have an apparent strategy (no offense), so we won't know how to help you. We won't even know how YOU want the pokemon to function.
Go ahead and post it, but be warned: there's only so much we can do if you don't EV train.
I'lll try to rate later this week. I'm just really busy; summer is over.

Looks good. Just be aware of Sleeper and Offensive leads like Gengar.

I really can't recommend Substitute + Life Orb on OU... Calm Mind would be better.
But since you know what you're gonna counter with it, then suit yourself...
But you won't get past blissey ,Bronzong or Cresselia...

Well,That's a little strange bronzong you got there... i don't recommend using this one because a Magnezone can make a full set up on you,and you can't do nothing to avoid and anything with Taunt can put you in great trouble... I recommend having at least one attacking move.

129 Speed, 190 Attack, 190 Sp. Attack
~ Agility
~ Close Combat
~ Blaze Kick
~ Dark Pulse
Mixed Sweeper
I think it would be better if you use a full physical set. It doesn't worth to make him mixed only to use Dark Pulse. use him like this...
Moveset
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
- ExtremeSpeed
- Crunch / Stone Edge
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Mamoswine@ Choice Band
Adamant| Snow Veil
252 Attack, 252 Speed

~ Earthquake
~ Stone Edge
Physical Sweeper

Well you don't really need all those SandStorm immune pokémon to use a SS Team...
The ones i didn't posted a comment are standard/good enough and i didn't had nothing much to say...The Heatran idea is good... Be careful about Starmie ... It counters half of your team...

Right then, this is my team for Pokemon Battle Reveolution (And my team for any battles, I always do 3 on 3). I've started playin online, so I'd like to know what you think: (details at bottom)
 @choice specs
Nature: Hardy
EVs: 'Bout that, it's gonna take alot of Stat reducing berrys
-Earthquake
-Thunder
-Ice beam
-Water Spout
My lead. If I'm faster than my opponent (it's a guess most the time) Water Spout at full/rain/STAB is alot of damage, if not, something at random. I might put something else for Earthquake.
 @ Expert Belt
Nature: Adamant
EVs 252 ATK, 252 SPD, 6 HP
-Thunder Punch
-Ice Punch
-Cross Chop
-Eartquake
Ok, it's straight from Smogon, but the plan is simple. Kyogre lures out an Electric attack, I switch this guy in to absorb it, and free speed boost. I know it's prediction, but it's worked this far. Set up with the boost to sweep.
 @Soul Dew
Nature: Bashful (I wanted Modest, but it's to late now)
EVs: 252 SP ATK, 252 SPD, 6 HP
-Thunder
-Calm mind
-Recover
-Dragon Pulse
Also off Smogon. Also a simple plan. Electivire tends to lead to an Earthquake. Not good. But then I switch to Latios, Levatates over it, and hopes to hit with a Dragon Pulse/Thunder. If I get a free turn, Calm Mind to boost sweeping, or Recover if I feel the strain.
Please rate and suggest any changes. I know the team needs alot of prediction, but if I get it right, I should win.

I've rebuilt my team a little so please rate it
1. Dusknoir@Leftovers Ability: Pressure
Nature: Impish EV: 252HP 68ATK 100SP.DEF 90DEF
Will-o-Wisp
Shadow Sneak
Thunder punch
Pain Split
(Physical tanker)
Since that it's Hp ain't sky high i decided to maximize it and it's DEFF anf SPDEF is already very high so i gave some ev to ATK
2.Milotic@Shell bell Ability: Marvel Scale
Nature: Modest EV: 124HP 252DEF 132SP.ATK
Surf
Ice Beam
Recover
Toxic
(Special Tanker)
My milotic is a tanker so toxic is better than hypnosis and it's SPDEF is already very high so i give it some SPATK evs and less SPDEF evs
3. Gallade @Scope lens Ability: Stedfast
Nature: Jolly EV: 252SPD 252ATK 6HP
Leaf Blade
Psyco cut
Stone Edge
Night Slash
(Physical Sweeper)
I gave it Leaf blade because i still think i need a grass type attack and gave it scope lens so that i will have a super high chance to score a critical hit since that all it's attack has high critical hit rate and i want to ask if choice band is a better item for it
4. Garchomp @Life Orb Ability: Sand Veil
Nature: Adamant EV: 252ATK 252SPD 6HP
Earthquake
Sword Dance
Dragon Claw
Fire Fang
(Physical Sweeper)
I have no moves againts a pkm like bronzong and skaromy so i gave it fire fang
5. Lucario @Expert Belt Ability: Stedfast
Nature: Timid EV: 252SP.ATK 252SPD 6HP
Aura Sphere
Dark Pulse
Psychic
Water pulse/Dragon pulse/Flash cannon/Hyper beam
(Special Sweeper)
I can't choose between Water pulse and dragon pulse my tea, already has 2 pokemon that knows dragon type attacks so putting 1 more ain't neccecery and water pulse help it covers up it's weakness but has low base power or mabye i should give it hyper beam as last resort or flash cannon to have STAB instead?
6. Charizard@Choice Specs Ability: Blaze
Nature: Modest EV: 252SP.ATK 252SPD 6HP
Flamethrower
Air Slash/Sunny Day
Dragon Pulse/Solarbeam
Focus Blast

If you are a somewhat competent battler, are prepared to build a team around it, and spend many battles on that team to learn how to use it, then yes.
We need more than team members. Movesets, natures, items, and EVs please.

Sanjay, I included them all in my original post (page 71). I could copy and paste the whole team's EVs, natures, moves, additional info etc. but I though that would be stretching the page and I've seen previous post also only mentioned that their post was missed rather than reposting~ Anyway, thanks in advance for rating!
Mod Edit: Is this it? -R_R
Calm / Serene Grace / Leftovers
252 HP / 252 SpD / 6 Def
~ Roost
~ Thunder Wave
~ Air Slash
~ Aura Sphere / Grass Knot / Flamthrower (?)
I 've thought about replacing Aura Sphere with Grass Knot to scare off Ground types that attempts to switch into Thunder Wave, also it'd be my team's only move to counter Swampert, but I'd give up covering Steel and Normal which means I'm gonna be walled/sponged quite often. Flamthrower is another option that I'm considering since I have problems with Skarmory. Considering what my other pokes have, which one should I choose? Thanks in advance.
Jolly / Inner Force / Lum Berry
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
~ Dragon Dance
~ Outrage
~ Earthquake
~ Fire Blast
Modest / Water Absorb / Leftovers
188 HP / 252 Def / 68 SpA
~ Ice-Beam
~ Surf
~ Roar
~ Wish
Yup, Roar, because I desperately needed a hazer, and I didn't choose Yawn because it doesn't go through Substitutes and it kinda needs protect to max its efficiency.
Jolly / Pressure / Expert Belt
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 6 HP
~ Pursuit
~ Ice Shard
~ Ice Punch
~ Brick Break
Ice Shard to hit Substitute and Baton Pass users, also when my team's about to be sweapt by an Agility/DD opponent who's weak after setting up, Ice Shard could hopefully finish it off (although I'd have to sacrafice one of my pokes to safely switch Weavile out).
Impish / Pressure / Leftovers
252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpD
~ Pain Split
~ Will-O-Wisp
~ Thunder Punch
~ Shadow Sneak
Careful / Thick Fat / Leftovers
168 HP / 120 Def / 220 SpD
~ Rest
~ Curse
~ Fire Punch
~ Body Slam
I initially used a Sleep Talk set, but Togekiss and Vaporeon seem to help out in sponging so I thought this might be more useful? I've been recommended to give up Snorlax and use a mixed Metagross instead... but I'm kinda reluctant to make such a change since I like Snorlax quite a bit. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks again!

Good.
SPECIAL SPONGE
brage; black sludge
252 HP; 252 SpD; 6 Atk
- rest
- sleep talk
- shadow sneak
- brick break
Sounds good. But i Suggest using Curse somewhere... But it's not really necessary...
PHYSICAL WALL
impish; black sludge
252 HP; 252 Def; 6 Atk
- rest
- whirlwind
- crunch
- earthquake
Toxic Spikes is a good choice over Rest Because it don't have enough HP and a Defense boosting move like Curse,Barrier and others...
SPECIAL SWEEPER
timid; dampen; lefties
252 SpA; 252 Spe; 6 HP
- calm mind
- hypnosis
- ice beam
- surf
Looks good, but i suggest using Cloud Nine over damp so you can avoid SandStorm Damage.
PHYSICAL SWEEPER
jolly; wide lens
252 Atk; 252 Spe; 6 Def
- swords dance
- cross chop
- stone edge
- x-scissor
Maybe Sucker Punch over X-Scissor... Looks good besides that.
SUPPORTER
calm; lefties
80 HP; 178 Spe; 252 SpD
- hypnosis
- will-o-wisp
- thunderbolt
- shadow ball
Looks good.
P.S. Since most raters are busy, why is the rater application feature currently closed down?
Overall your team si kinda frail... You know, you have three pokémon weak to Ground and the other two weak to Rock... That's one of the most combination of attacks that hits everything for neutral damage, that without counting 3 pokémon weak to Electric... I don't think they would fare well on Ou...
You lack a good physical wall that resist earthquakes,a good Special Wall to block all those powerfull special sweepers you find on OU,a Rapid Spinner to block Stealth Rocks since none on your team resists rock and 2 are weak to it.
But you don't know until you try...
